Divya Delhi: Russia fired around 400 drones and 40 missiles against practically the entire Ukraine overnight in retaliation to Kyiv's Operation Spiderweb. One of the worst aerial bombardments killed six and injured 80. The deadly onslaught hit nine regions, including Kyiv, Lviv, and Sumy. On his X, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy updated. He said, “Rescue and emergency operations continued all day across our country's regions and cities. Over 40 Russian missiles and 400 drones were launched. 80 people were hurt, and some may be under the rubble. Unfortunately, not everyone condemns such acts. Putin takes advantage of this. He's buying time to keep fighting.” According to YouTube footage, missiles bombarded the war-torn region with tremendous lighting at night. The blasts occurred hours after US President Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin addressed the Ukrainian attack on Russia in a contentious phone call. Trump said the talk lasted “approximately one hour and 15 minutes” and discussed the strike on Russia's docked jets and other strikes. Putin's statement that “he will have to respond to the recent attack on the airfields” implied a major retaliation, which occurred last night.
