Divya Delhi: Ruslaan Mumtaz and Sheena Shahabadi debuted in Satish Kaushik's 2009 film Teree Sang. Teree Sang discusses teen pregnancy. Bobby from Raj Kapoor has a child and affair. Other than that, boy-meets-girl was never more revered. Rajat Kapoor and Neena Gupta, who play debutante Sheena Shahabadi's stiff-upper-lipped parents, may represent Bobby's painfully young Rishi Kapoor's parents, Pran and Sonia Sahni, with their soap opera social graces. What to drop is unclear to Neena Gupta. Mahi befriends the poor Old Delhi youngster despite her upper-class upbringing. Talk, flirt, and travel. Geographically and emotionally, Satish Kaushik's picture excels but not geopolitically. Ruslaan Mumtaz plays the sweet boy-next-door who forgets that love gives birth. Like the young characters, the callow couple's realization they're undesired parents is awkward. Nobody knows better. Luckily, the photo does. Their escape to the hills to play mummy-daddy brings Qayamat Se Qayamat colors to the film. Tak, the couple's innocence highlights the Romeo-meets-Juliet-in-the-maternity-ward story of childish mistakes. Method by Kaushik is correct. In contrast to Jason Reitman's Juno, the tale brazenly addresses premature hormonal exuberance without the same empathy and wit. Satish Kaushik and Sushmita Mukherjee play Ruslaan's earthy parents with humor in his best scenes. Life in crusty, dusty Old Delhi alleys is accurate. However, the heroine's surroundings is crude and uncomfortable.
